THE ORIGIN
Our story begins during the student years of Ioana, the founder of the brand. Her weekend mornings started late, and her craving for breakfast was met every time with the same answer: “We no longer serve breakfast.”
That was when the question that would lay the foundations for the Eggcetera brand was born: “What if there was a place where breakfast could be enjoyed at any time?”
In Copenhagen and Berlin, we found our inspiration. Restaurants where breakfast was served all day, simple ingredients were brought to life, and the atmosphere and culture surrounding them turned a meal into something memorable.
THE BEGINNING
In 2018, the idea took shape on Napoca Street in the centre of Cluj. Our first home was not a large space, but every detail was thought through with great care — from the food and coffee to the design of the space and the energy we wanted people walking through our doors to feel.
It was the place where we found our footing. There, we learned what consistency, resilience, and care for people truly mean. These principles have guided us through every challenge and have remained our foundation to this day.
